Rainbow Junction

The proposed Rainbow Junction site stretches from Wonderboom Poort to the R513 in an elongated shape. The existing site is zoned as agricultural land, with the Apies River along the eastern embankment of the site. The development concept for the site has been drafted by V & L Landscape Architects, who have chosen to market the site as a „sustainable development‟ in all aspects. SUDS technologies have been designed as a means of stormwater management throughout the site. The concept indicates that the proposed uses of the land will be for commercial, retail and residential purposes. Public and controlled open space has also been reserved as well as a relatively large riparian zone along the Apies River edge.
